14 Jul 2006There’s an exhibition next Friday that will include a silent auction to benefit a memorial fund in Will’s name. It’s Friday, July 21 from 7-11PM. Mark your calendars. Here’s the full announcement:
OFF THE WALL PRESENTS:
“PORTAL SKIN”
ONE NIGHT ONLY- FRIDAY, JULY 21, 2006
OFF THE WALL members and featured guest artist Abby
Whisenant, will be exhibiting new work in their sixth
show of the series, “Portal Skin.” Members include
Nashville- based artists, Jenny Baggs, Quinn Dukes,
Janet Heilbronn, Mahlea Jones, Jenn Ramsey, Jaime
Raybin, and Iwonka Waskowski. New paintings,
installation, photography, silk screen prints and
sculpture will be exhibited. A silent auction will be
held to benefit the Will ClenDening Memorial Fund.
This one night exhibition is free and open to the
public. The exhibition will take place FRIDAY, JULY
21, 2006 FROM 7-11 PM AT MARATHON VILLAGE (1305
CLINTON ST.)
ABOUT OFF THE WALL:
Off The Wall is a group of independent artists
committed to supporting one another through dialogue
and opportunities to exhibit artwork. While working
individually members are brought together by common
aesthetic sensibilities and an interest in developing
contemporary approaches in the visual arts. Through
presenting new work, Off The Wall seeks to build a
reciprocal relationship with the viewer. Each artist
displays multiple pieces in order to give the viewer a
meaningful look into their unique body of work.
Additionally, as members of the Nashville community,
Off The Wall supports local non-profit organizations
through the auctioning of artworks and donating sales. </blockquote>
