NASHVILLE - Tennessee’s unemployment rate for the month of April is 5.4 percent, up 0.3 percentage point from the seasonally adjusted March rate of 5.1 percent, Commissioner of Labor & Workforce Development James Neeley announced today. The national unemployment rate for April is 4.7 percent, the same as the March rate.
