So there’s this scandal about a company that was illegally selling body parts where the previous owners hadn’t agreed to be organ donors.
The outrage here apparently is that they were distributing body parts illegally that “could be” infected with disease. To me the outrage that there are so many assholes out there with an infantile attachment (pun intended) to their mortal coil that we actually have a black market for body parts.
None of this would matter if bodies were simply up for grabs when you died. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, kidney to my body cavity, that’s what I say. Register to donate your organs, folks. You’re not gonna need them.
It also wouldn’t matter if there was a legal, regulated trade in body parts.
