Mike Sechrist posted a followup to an earlier post where he solicited people for things that drive them crazy while watching the news.
Clearly I misinterpreted, because the number one complaint he got was “empty live shots” … Mmmmmkay. Whereas I left like a 1-page rambling condemnation of local media in general, explaining in detail why I found it completely worthless and didn’t watch it at all because of the shallow reporting and focus on crime and violence.
I guess the key word I overlooked is that he wanted input from people that watched local news, not people that hate local news. Oh well.
Chris: I was trying to plumb the depths of dispair of those still watching. I did make note of your “rambling condemnation” and know that you speak for many. I see the ratings every morning…tough to take on cold and wintry days.
