Ornish vs Trager

Over at Lean Left, tgirsch links to debate held between Dr. Dean Ornish and Dr. Stuart Trager (an Atkins follower). It’s a bit dull, as the two diets really aren’t even that different. Nice to at least see the low-carb idea getting some more coverage. See the thread over at leanleft.com for my fire-breathing rant.

Getting more coverage? Low-carb diets have been plastered all over the media for the better part of the last two years! I can’t think of any other single diet that gets more coverage.

Yes, well, my metric for when “enough is enough” is the obesity rate in this country. Or, to be less scientific about it, the number of fat asses I see.
