Running the IP Address through arin.net notes that it belongs to AOL. My guess is that the Kerry campaign probably has nothing to do with this and its just someone doing it on their own. I would contact AOL (abuse@aol.com) and go from there.

John Kerry’s camp is apparently guilty of referral log spamming. I continue to not like this guy….

While I have no doubt that John Kerry himself and his campaign organizers didn’t get together to spam me, it’s obvious that someone involved with the site did.

I understand that it’s very likely some retard intern on the campaign that thought it was a good idea, but johnkerry.com should still be held responsible so that they find him, and make him stop.

It’s not like it’s some spammer maliciously spamming me with their site. Spammers are a dirty bunch, but even they are not so big on advertising other people’s sites, in my experience.

There is another possibility, of course - someone could be “Joe Jobbing” the campaign. Trying to set up the Kerry campaign to LOOK like spammers.

I’m not sure which one I believe - I’ve written to to info@ and webmaster@ too asking the question, but haven’t heard anything back. I’d say both possibilities are equally likely at this point. In digging through my logs a bit more, I’ve found other StarProse referral spam, all from Democratic candidates. When campaigns as diverse as Kerry, Edwards, and Al Sharpton are showing up with the same software and the same general layout, it raises my suspicions a bit more for the Joe-Job.

Interesting.. I haven’t seen it from anyone else. It wouldn’t surprise me if you were right, though.

I am closing the comments on this thread because the conversation is no longer productive (if it ever was). I am generally not the type to stifle debate, but frankly, I’m tired of getting e-mail about the most recent inflammatory, ignorant and racist comment and its exasperated response.

And since this is my website, I get the luxury of having the last word.

I’d recommend that Johan go and read the wikipedia entry on Race again, since he clearly has no idea what it is (hint: a social construct).

I’d advise both Inga and Johan to either re-evaluate their racist philosophies or at least start trying not to sound like such creepy Neo-Nazi shitheads.

I have been staying in Canada for a few months, and I must say that it is the most wonderful country in the world. Now I must return to Germany, and continue my good life. I want to add that there is far more freedom of speech in Germany than America.

The idea was mentioned in the discussion that all of authentic history ( and science) is nothing but a big conspiracy against blacks.

Wikipedia acknowledges that there is disagreement about the definition of race, and does not pretend to have the whole truth.

It is also editable.

…which means it cannot be used as some sort of canonical reference.

Of course, there is no such thing as holy canon in science - else people wouldn’t need updated textbooks, reflecting new studies such as this (click here).

Race is definitely genetic. I’d recommend that Chris the man read about Race. He’s a man of few words.

He’s definitely not a believer in free speech. No guts man. He hasn’t got the courage to get into a good discussion.

If we were to close that door on any discussions involving the KKK or Hitler, we’d be in huge trouble. Things are better discussed in the open.

The discussion was about Beethoven’s race.

It was not about the KKK or Hitler.

But the Afrocentrists kept trying to control the discussion with their racist views.

They didn’t seem to care that there was a European historian present, who could have answered questions about Beethoven.

When they didn’t succeed in manipulating the discussion, they tried intimidation and accusation.

That didn’t work either (it backfired. Apparently, they are used to people in America just giving in to them, over such behavior).

So they apparently emailed Chris… who got out of trouble with their Excellencies by closing the discussion, and then comparing Inga and myself to “Neo-Nazis” (which perhaps doesn’t deserve comment).

It is interesting, how politics won’t work, without fear.

There were Europeans present in the discussion. One of them was a historian.

Notice the conduct of the Americans - especially the Afrocentrists - in the discussion. They aren’t even prepared to ask a single question, but were lecturing Europeans about European history.

…and freely accusing people of being Nazis, etc. - as if that is normal.

Not to mention the lies about black people having naturally straight hair, etc.

Chris maligned people for mentioning the existance of race - after starting a discussion about Beethoven’s race.

…and looked the other way, when the Afrocentrists did the same.

The Afrocentrists were accountable to no one (with Chris’ blessings) - but everyone was supposed to be accountable to them.
