worst rich people ever
There's an older couple that lives across the hall from me. Very generic looking 50-somethings, wearers of Sports Sweaters, sporter of a mustache and Generic Southern Woman Hair (man and wife, respectively). I only see them on game weekends, bringing in coolers or 12-packs of MGD. After years of careful observation, I am 99% confident that they only rent the apartment at all so they have somewhere to stay during Titans games.
Which, as far as I can tell, is the dumbest application of wealth ever. Maybe no one told them about hotels? I don't know.

Devil's Advocate: Maybe they got suckered into buying an apartment at the top of the market, as an investment, and they can't sell it for a profit yet and don't want to deal with renting it out.
Or, maybe they just wanted somewhere to be close to the games. Does it come with parking? :-)
nah.. despite the current downturn, real estate is still an investment. Now if they bought one of those conversion vans tricked out with all the Titans logos and schwag just for the game weekends.. that would be a different story.
5-10 years from now-- so long as they don't get strapped for cash and have to try to sell the thing this year-- or if they leave it behind as part of their estate, that apartment will likely turn out to have been a reasonably good investment.

Parking would be concievable except there's a lot right across the street you can rent spaces in for ... a lot less.. It just doesn't add up, I don't get it..
Why not just ask them?
