goooooooo america!!!!!

Happy New Year!!
Okay, seriously, guys, who cares?
I am often times as annoyed by the Scene as you guys are. But seriously. He just posted some stupid e-mail forward. Who cares? This is not Jayson Blair, here. He added attribution, maybe after Jackson pointed it out, maybe before.
Don't we have something better to be arguing about? I could barely work up the energy to make this blog post to say "I lack the energy to care about this."
Words fail me to describe how unbelievable this picture is (click to see the full version):
And to think, if he had bracketed the exposures, that would have made one hell of an HDR image.
I wonder how many child head injuries that this flickr pool alone will be responsible for.
Spent much of Saturday at the park, checking out the lights, playing boardgames, and enjoying the Christmas-ey 70-degree weather. Ho ho ho.

CNN reports on the death of Peter Boyle, who is not merely "of Everybody Loves Raymond". This reminds me of the trailer for some movie with Eugene Levy, and they were like "and starring American Pie's Eugene Levy!!!"
35 years of comedy and he's "American Pie's Eugene Levy".
If you missed the first Mad Housers meeting last week, don't feel bad. We're in the process now of coordinating materials, space, transport and volunteers for our first panel build.
The date has yet to be decided, so if you're still interested, comment here or drop me an e-mail. Even better, if you have access to any of the things we need, let me know, so I can start taking stock of our inventory and resources.
I am thinking I may try another meeting at a more convenient location outside of downtown, slightly later in the day, so more people can make it out. More info on this soon.. Thanks!
The sunset the Sunday before last (Dec. 3rd), with its bizarre arrow-shaped depression in the clouds, appears to have been very popular.
It's interesting how you can sorta get a feel for where each picture was taken.

UPDATE 2: Another!
UPDATE 3: And another
Had a good time at the blogger meatup last night. Stayed a little longer due to unforeseen complications: my car key broke off in passenger-side door. Thankfully John H gave me a lift downtown and back with a new key. Good times. Other unforeseen complications? The presence of bourbon and tequila. Regrettably I have no pictures because my camera remained securely in the car, along with half of my key. Next time!
