millions of dollars, lofton

Frank Zappa on Crossfire in 1986, from a forgotten age where a right-wing Republican administration was leading a sideshow persecution of pointless, stupid social issues to distract from egregious displays of imperial hubris abroad. Zappa mentions at point that we’re heading for a “fascist theocracy”. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? Thank God we nipped that in the bud. Thanks to elthar for the link.

Yeah, that Tipper Gore sure was a stooge for the Reagan administration.
As for egregious displays of imperial hubris abroad, to what do you refer?
Operation El Dorado Canyon?
Iran-Contra?
New Coke?
The sinking of a Greenpeace vessel by the French?
Microsoft releasing Windows 1.0?

At this point, Lofton isn’t one anymore. Check out his site http://www.theamericanview.com/index.php?id=39

Definitely a fan of fascist theocracy, though.

To say FZ was prescient, is to understate the case regarding the country and what would eventually become of Lofton.

I just finished a “conversation” for lack of a better word with Lofton that dealt with the Zappa debate. Lofton thinks he won that, can you believe it??? He’s a major jerk who wants to push his ‘christian’ views down everyone’s throats. Thank goodness he is just a feeble old fart of a man with nothing better to do.
Zappa wiped the floor with him.
