chicken

Well, this makes me feel good. Amanda and I had some just roast chicken for dinner tonight and it was just sliiightly undercooked, but hey, what’s the worry, right?

Well, now of course I see that the USDA has announced that chicken salmonella rates are up nearly 80 percent.

That’s a lot of percents.

I am sorry I tried to kill you with my chicken. We really need to get another meat thermometer because overcooked chicken is nasty and undercooked chicken is poisonous.

I’m sending the health department to inspect your house, Amanda. I can’t believe you would feed someone poisonous chicken-especially someone you love!

Don’t worry about it too much. When I start dreading my job too much, I eat some undercooked chicken. (”I’m not coming in today. I’ve been hopping to the toilet every five minutes–that chicken I ate must not have been quite done.”) A couple days of squirting gray water is sometimes a lot more pleasant than going to work.
