I was reading this (very depressing) article about the sudanese refugees in Egypt, and the second page says:

The showdown began in late September, when migrants, most from the southern part of the country, began to show up in the middle of one of Cairo’s more upscale neighborhoods. Surrounded by banks, fast food shops and car dealerships, they kept arriving and soon created a small village. An estimated 3,000 people crowded into a space no larger than a basketball court.

Wha?? 3,000 people in a basketball court? That’s like 1.6 sq feet per person. Maybe they meant basketball stadium, or something.
