privo della mente

A few weeks ago I bought a bottle of campari on a whim and spent the weekend drinking it with soda.

I spent this weekend compulsively listening to Ennio Morricone’s soundtrack to “Il Gatto”, which is really quite lovely.

It would have been fitting to have combined these two activities into one weekend, I think.

I also downloaded Morricone’s score to Cinema Paradiso, which is also amazing. It’s reminding me how much I like file scores – particularly the 60s-70s spy/lounge music sort – and also, only slightly tangentially, how much I want to get my hands on all things Henry Mancini. Unfortunate, emusic has no Mancini whatsoever, despite having nearly everything Morricone ever did.
