We got to sit with John Jay for a while at a bar across from the conference. If you could imagine 8 very vocal bbloggers sitting spellbound over drinks as this man tells story after story, you can envision the scene.

He was a very interesting man, a legacy that can not be beat, and lived life. He may be a bit of a wacko, he sure is an interesting one.

I also vote AYE!

Great Site!

John Jay Hooker, a colorful figure in Tennessee politics, interjected during the Dave Winer conference at BlogNashville. His most notable quote at the engagement was "You can't call a son-of-a-bitch a son-of-a-bitch without calling him a son-of-a-bit...

Tall tales on wikipedia are more the norm than truth and fact. So I'd be wary of that 'story'.

Hooker sounds like a great iconoclastic character though.

John Jay Hooker has been (and still is, to some degree) one of the most colorful people in Tennessee politics. If this gentleman starts blogging, fasten your seatbelts, the blogosphere is in for a ride! Known for his ability to 'spam' the courts with motions, I can only imagine the length and detail that will show up in his posts.

...and I vote 'Aye'
