Spend Sunday and Monday seeing da city, and Tuesday morning shopping our way out of town to a leisurely PM flight back to Tampa. Well, that's what I thought I planned. Priceline shaved two whole days off of that by landing us in N'awlins at 11pm Saturday, and having us boarding a plane (airport's an hour from the Quarter) at 6AM. They GOT ME! Assholes! And if the people at Priceline knew what was good for them, they'd actually have someone in their marketing department searching for detractors from their business like this post, and try and rectify these people's negative experiences so they wouldn't have so many disgruntled customers. I guess you can say I've been in the business of customer service too long, but a lot of companies actually <i>do</i> this, and a little effort on the company's side goes a very long way. But we all know the people at Priceline have no souls. That's why they hired William Shatner. Perhaps a simpler approach. What if everyone one who has been hurt by priceline repeatedly clicked on priceline's sponsored link on Google? Each click costs priceline money, not much money, but if hundreds or even thousands of people clicked wouldn't that eventually add up? And it doen't have to be for hours on end. Just an occasional few minutes when you have some downtime. In the end it may truly not hurt priceline but it would feel good to actually do something.
